Back on track

I almost forgot all about this blog. I wish I could forget
about shopping just as easily. Until that glorious day appears, here
are my wishes for june: Acne jacket - acnestudios.com, Matthew
Williamson for H&M belt - ebay.com, Acne gladiators -
acnestudios.com, denim shorts - Forever 21, swimsuit -
Netaporter.com, shoppingbag - Bunnyhug.co.uk, sandal -
Ray Ban wayfarer - Netaporter.com and Alexander Wang bag -
Farfetch.com. One problem: I just paid my vacation, so my
budget can hardly handle the denim shorts. They're $ 20 :-).

Video #17: High-Street Heaven

In London I was happy to find the Kate Moss collection at TopShop still available - many good pieces!! I got the basic tees, tights and tank tops at American Apparel. Urban Outfitters had some fun Andy Warhol tees, and at ultra cheap Primark I got blouses and wool sweaters for only GBP 8,- a piece. In Primark you have to look a while to discover the nuggets. The video was shot in and outside the stores. TO BE CONTINUED

Copenhagen clothing

Shopping for fashion is great in Copenhagen: Wood Wood, Henrik Vibskov, Acne, Stig P, Flying A, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Urban Outfitters, TopShop. The list is long. I bought some nice harem pants from Best behaviour.

Fashion swap party tips

Fashion swap parties are frequent on the New York party scene, and I wish that these parties would be more common in Oslo (and that someone would invite me). Off course I could take the initiative myself. Anyways, we should learn from the best, and here is the swap party connisseur Loren Silbers top 5 tips for a successful swap party:
1. Find the right location
You'll need plenty of space, good light and rest rooms. Proprietors may offer space in a bar for free in anticipation of people spending money on drinks.
2. Spread the word
Send an e-vite to friends. Allow at least two weeks lead time, as it takes most people at least that much time to gather swap items.
3. Create a party atmosphere
Present your event as a social event as well as an exchange . Plan for music and refreshments to put people at ease and encourage people to socialize.
4. Get organized ahead of time
Consider tables, hangers, signs clothing racks, sign in sheets, mirrors, dressing rooms to keep your swap organized.
5. Donate what's left to charity
It really makes people feel that what they are doing is reaching out far beyond their basic desire for more clothes.

Dane design

Yet another reason to do some credit card damage is coming up. The danish, supposed to be a genious, fashion designer Henrik Vibskov is coming to town. The store is opening in Posthallen, in Oslo today at 4 o clock. I will check it out.

Vintage rip-off!

Today I did my best second hand scoop ever. H&M sold some vintage leftovers at the price of 5,-NOK a piece. I got 4 nice pair of shoes and 3 leather belts at the price of 35,-NOK in total. FUNtastic!!
